Art, you can count this Republican as well for whom Hoffy spoke. Last month I voted a straight democratic ticket because of the Republicans' shenanigan in this matter. I had to cringe and hold my revulsions, but did it.
The fact of the matter is that looking at the known events, slicky did not perjure himself, as I said on another thread, he did exactly what Newt did under similar circumstances, he did not go all the way, and all he had was "Assisted Masturbation" not a "sexual relation with that woman Lewinski". Newt kept his extramarital relationship to the level of O-sex so that if it came to light he could claim that this was not an adulterous relationship. It must be something with Southern Baptism" that define such a relationship as "not sexual", but what counts in a perjury case, is what the person believes to be the truth, and when he stated "no sexual relationship", he simply assumed that assisted masturbation, like any other masturbation is not a sexual relationship.
Not less "evil" an act but certainly we are not going to impeach any President that masturbates here and there, are we? Oh, yes, once a year, we will have a inquisitor forcing the Pres under oath to state did he or did he not masturbate any time during the last twelve months. Then the next question under oath would be was this assisted or unassisted masturbation. before you know it, future president will have to swear annually that they did not "sin in their heart" (Carter lost his second go just for that, or was it "the economy, stupid"?).
