No need to argue. I could call myself an agnostic in honor of the argument that nobody knows anything for sure, and hey, maybe even something as outlandish as the god-concept could conceivably be proved in some way tomorrow. But the reason I call myself an atheist instead, is that the idea I'd be sort of half-entertaining by accepting the agnostic position is an idea actually humorous to me. I mean, it literally strikes me as comical. So it is a much truer statement of my beliefs to say that I positively don't believe the construct, since I don't, than to say something like, "I think the notion of a deity is childish and very funny, if you think about it, I'm an... agnostic."

All we have is our convictions about life. My conviction is that there is no God. So why should I beat around the bush. That's called being an atheist, in my book. But someone who feels different, that's fine. In my experience, though, agnostics are usually atheists, when they get to talking.
