IMO, the number of new PCs that can be sold to low income people is reaching a threshold. Approx 20% of families could'nt afford to pay to be on the net even if they got 1 for free. No doubt, higher income families will have 2 or even more PCs at these low prices. The big question is can the box makers remain profitable at these low prices & will the chip makers be placing many new orders with AMAT. IMO, no & no. The U.S. now has a trade deficit in PCs.
