Les, I've seen so many attorneys hash out the letters of the law in order to circumvent the intent and common meaning of the law... that's their job. The "law" has grown to a body of twisted and often contradictory definition, examples, and rulings operating at multiple levels of jurisdiction. Its an ocean of truth and semi truths and sometimes outright entraping conditions that remain on the books ready to defend or prosecute us. How many laws go unenforced? How many are bent routinely like setting speed zone traps at 70 on a 55 mph road? Innocent but breaking the law. The rule of law is not an absolute in practical everyday life, never has been, never will be... because it too conflicted with contrary purpose and definition. This case is even worse, its law being used to enforce politics where normally there wouldn't have been a case at all.
