I reprinted the message I did because I wanted to add another viewpoint to the discussion here.

I myself am learning all I can from each and every post on this and other boards.

As far as what I believe about what happened this week, I am not in position to know for certain therefore I can only base my conclusions on the information I absorb as I read all this stuff.

If the AOL poster is correct, I would be very displeased that such manipulation goes unpunished.

Individual investors have the right to expect that the value of their investments are not manipulated illegally for profit by a select few.

If the system works that way then the system needs to be changed.

I gather that your point of view is that the market really does determine prices in the short and long run and that the perception of manipulation is only that - just perception.

I would like you to examine the AOL posters comments in detail and comment specifically about what he says.

In fact, there are further postings that he has made that I will copy and post here later today.

I haven't communicated with the AOL poster either publicly or privately but I too think he would be a valuable addition to this board so I will invite him to join us here.
