Bruce, try the game with an LCD first. It may not look well as LCDs have this funny image drag that looks like swaths of mousetails that you could find quite aggravating. the active matrix have less of that but are more than $700 for 15"
A good high frequency 21" monitor with .28 MM dot pitch is what you need. It will be capable of 1450 pixel triad wide screens (20" viewable) but that res would need 32 Meg on your video card. It seems like 1024 x 768 would be all an 8 meg card would do.
Read Toms on video cards, it is a scary deucation on what is needed for a big monitor with small pixels at a high rep rate. You see these on demo to get you sold. The games people can crank it up faster than the card people.
