I use DLJDirect currently. Why cant you use the same modem to get to both your broker and SI etc at the same time? I do this all of the time. I dont think a passive system like SI will put a load on the modem. I also think 56 is fine for systems like dlj, but I suspect it might not be good enough for realtime anything. I normally connect to dlj, microsoft investor, and SI all at the same time. On top of that, I run other software programs such as word. Glenn
