Alan, Thanks for all the info. I did read in Business Week last month (11/30, p.158) what a huge market DSP will be (10x today's level by 2005), and how Texas Instruments, Lucent, Motorola, and Analog Devices currently command 97% of the world's DSP business.

I bought into ICOM last month--believe it or not--for the videonetworking aspects. Immediately after I bought in at 3 the PR came out about the dismal Q3 and we've seen the stock cut in half since. I had seriously been thinking of dumping it this week and taking the loss for '98 tax purposes.

Your thesis on DNA has made me decide to consider not only staying in, but to perhaps increase my position as well. You have presented your case very well. It appears to me that DNA has been in the ICOM family for a little while now, so may I ask how you chose now to put forth this most-welcome theory? Thank you.
