Infoseek Gets GO Network Ready To
Go

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Infoseek Corporation (Nasdaq: SEEK - news) today introduced the test version, called a ''beta,'' of GO Network (http://beta.go.com). GO Network is a tightly integrated collection of Web sites designed to go beyond the standard Internet portal experience and connect with people in the areas they care most about in their daily lives. The beta release of GO Network is the product of an alliance formed by Infoseek Corporation and The
Walt Disney Company.

''This is the first fruit of an alliance that combines deeper and broader assets in technology, innovative design, brand equity and marketing, and promotion than any other entity on the Internet,''
said Harry Motro, president and CEO of Infoseek. ''It's our first major milestone, and we invite our users to help us make it even better.''

The beta is intended to offer users an opportunity to explore the site and offer input to the company about how to improve the service. Users can offer feedback throughout the site by clicking on ''contact us'' links and a ''GO beta feedback'' link on every search results page. New features will be rolled into the site during the beta period.

GO Network will be officially launched in early 1999, and will offer users the first portal built from the ground up and integrating premier brands such as ABC, ABC News, Disney, ESPN, Mr. Showbiz, Infoseek and many others.

The beta release can be accessed at beta.go.com, via a button at www.infoseek.com or through a jump page at www.go.com.
