Kiriakos - Re:"You should read the gurus on the AMD thread..."
I have read ALL the posts - even though I haven't been posting myself lately. In fact, I have been thinking about sending you a private e-mail message - but now I will do it publicly.
First, my condolences. You were an AMD investor, supporter and faithful contributor to the AMD thread. All the AMD faithful were your friends.
Then, you sold your stock at what you think was a fair profit - congratulations - profits are the name of the game.
After acknowledging your AMD sale, and then posting that you think AMD has run up as far as you feel comfortable with, you were then villified by the AMD faithful for your actions. You are like the master whose dog turns on him and bites him.
This is so typical of certain types of people. If you agree with them, they love you and are your friends.
If you disagree with them, they ATTACK you like you were the carrier of bubonic plague. So much for friendship among that crowd.
By the way, one of the reasons that you are being chewed up like grissle is that many of these AMD investors bought in 18 months ago and still may not have broken even on their investment. Hence, they are showing their jealousy of you for having bought in low and selling out at an acceptable profit.
As for my AMD stock and options (yes, I went whole hog when AMD was at $12 and change), I am still holding although the temptation to sell them is great. However, when the "market" rewarded AMD for posting smaller "losses" (as opposed to outright profits), I figure that the business/PC climate will favor AMD and their stock will be good for another rise, up through $40, especially IF the K6 finds a home in some PC boxes.
So, I am just "riding the wave" (I believe AMD used this slogan a while back).
Another reason I'm holding - to make shameful profits on AMD - most likely way more than all that AMD herd that used to call you a friend! I'm certain that it gives them indigestion every time AMD goes up, knowing that their "enemy" is making a bigger killing than they are!
Once again, I'm sorry that the AMD faithful have turned and attacked you. Please don't take it personally - it merely reflects the lack of class and maturity amongst the attackers. I know - I have been the recipient of their childish name calling and other immature antics.
Wait until the "K-Man" starts accusing you of mental illness! Then you can laugh all the way to the bank!
Good luck and congratulations on your AMD profits.
