A helpful message from Carol Kaplan, Sigma's IR, to a stockholder was posted at Yahoo recently. Here it is for those who missed it:

"We appreciate the support of your group of SIGM investors, and I know you do a great deal of research concerning product developments. And we agree with you that 1999 could be a great year for our company.

"Let me share a few things with you. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will be held in Las Vegas January 7-10. No announcements will be made at the time of the show, but some "interesting" products will be shown behind closed doors under Non Disclosure Agreements. At this point, we expect an announcement a couple of weeks after the show.

Ventura Plus is being well received; we may be able to announce a design win in January.

On the streaming video side-- WalMart is installing NetStream in another 300 stores, and we are in various stages of pilot/beta testing with three other retail chains. We have some interesting distance learning projects going on utilizing the NetStream 2tv product. A nationwide chain of "health food stores" is using our product for customer kiosks in the stores. And finally, we hope to issue a press release soon about a financial service brokerage firm installing streaming video in each branch office.

We will try to get one or two press releases out in December. Thanks for your patience and continued support.

Best regards;
Carol
