Allen, I have to agree with you on all counts:

"the important thing about the "caddy" patent is that it does appear that there is at least a possibility that one will be able to take one's Clik! disk and read it, via the caddy, on one's Zip drive."

Yes, this was one thing that was stated about the old "n-hand" prototype, that the disk would be readable "with the new Zip drives, imminently to be released" (paraphrasing there). Some of us jumped on the Zip Plus as the "new Zip drive" when it seems like the Zip 250 may have been what was referred to (if at all). I hope it does eventually come about.

"That would be a good thing, as a part of an overall picture. With USB, parallel and "caddy-to-Zip" interfaces, it would seem that most people would have no problem getting their data from their Clik! enabled devices into their computers."

Yes, I guess that only leaves the folks with Macs with only SCSI interfaces? There must be a converter for that available somewhere.

"So now the only question is, when is the product going to ship?!? It's really a shame that Iomega has basically missed another Christmas selling season for Clik!"

Amen, Brother! I don't really expect that things will make much headway on this front until Clik! is embedded in products, and we've waited a long time already. I hope the wait's just about over... Maybe we can at least make the Summer Vacation season for these digital cameras.

BTW, thanks for the pointer to your wife's comic strip. I should have guessed it would have been available online. I also see why she keeps her maiden name (or a pseudonym) professionally. I guess www.waymurdock.com just doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?
