Does anyone want to comment on the stupidity of negotiating a price for TLC based on Mattel's price before it announced an earnings warning? Was TLC blindsided by the this or did they do their due diligence? It seems to me to be a no-brainer to not do a deal right now with Mattel or at least to negotiate a better exchange ratio. What was management thinking? Can anyone who listened in on the conference call shed some light on this? When I started with Broderbund, I was happy because I thought I was getting a powerful growth vehicle in TLC. Now I'm in a slow-growth toy company. I will sell out at my first opportunity. This blows. Doughboy.
