can your friend give you any reason to invest in ADOT, other than Biomoda may go public sometime next year?
Well, I have to be careful here. On the one hand he probably doesn't want to think that every word he tells me by phone goes on to the thread, but on the other, be probably wouldn't mind if I say something positive about ADOT since he's so heavily invested here.
Well, I'll take a chance his view will be the latter, and since he reads this thread, I'll learn soon enough if I did all right.
His ties to the company, at least in terms of communication, are strong. He understands completely that people are not able to get good feedback from the company itself (i.e., poor investor relations) but he does not appear to me to have that problem. Apparently, whoever runs ADOT (I don't recall the name) does not really care about stroking investors, just running the business. Let me try this wording: It's a personality thing, not a scam thing.
My friend told me, "There are some things in the works, but I can't tell you about them." In the context of the conversation, he could have been referring to Biomoda or ADOT, I didn't ask him to specify. Also, I don't have details on timing. I presume that the "things in the works" will occur in the Spring of '99, but that's just a guess.
I think the justification you listed for why you are selling and why you have lost faith in ADOT is very strong. I guess I'm a sensitive guy because I don't even know you and I feel very bad about how ADOT has treated you. I notice you put "NO EVIDENCE" in all caps. What kind of a company can tolerate themselves when an investor is able to say such a thing?
No doubt about it, ADOT is really a mystery to me. How can there be gold in a pile of what appears to be a heap of the smelly stuff? But I respect my friend's views, enough so that I am here lurking (er...formerly lurking) on this thread.
One final note: Thank you for sharing about buying 100,000 shares @ .23. Why? Because I myself have suffered huge losses in the stock I own and misery loves company! In my case, however, I am planning to hold, waiting for the turnaround.
