Here is some new stuff for all to ponder.
As of Oct 2nd ,the last qtr. reported, there were
3343 preferred shares remaining,and of course you know
that there were no conversions in that quarter.In the
previous quarter there were 4623 preferred remaining.
The outstanding shares have been reduced to
48,622,000 from previous quarter of 50,773,000.
Float now stands at 14,100,000 instead of 13,700,000.
They now have 2,630,600 shares in their treasury
as opposed to 266,500 in the prior quarter.
Last quarter as far as institutions are concerned
ther were 132 purchases and 644 sales,and qtr. before that
there were 21 purchases and 146 sales.Of course that could
be tax loss selling or they are pulling out.
I look for Emerson to purchase another million or 2 of
the common in early part of year and hope for continued profit through
fiscal 99.
