ok -- today's pretty much shot, so here goes:
Just checked Bloomberg to see if the Sept holdings tallies have been completed and disclosed. Here's the poop on big holders (I'm just going to list those changes >500K shares since June 30).
The format is Name / change / new balance / % ownership:
Ups:
T Rowe Price / +820K / 2,753K / 5.4% Gardner Lewis Asset Mgt / +1,143K / 2,316K / 4.54% (sorry to report that our friend and thread mentor, Mr. Gintel, drops to number 5 in the rankings (4.31%), following Intuit (20.8%), Kight (12.04%), T Rowe and Gardner). I have no doubt he doesn't mind being in such good company, though...<g>
Strong Capital Management / +811.5K / 813.2K / 1.59%
Downs:
Putnam Management / -1,569K / 137K / 0.27% Paw Capital Partners / -560K / 0 / 0% Pimco Advisors - Columbus Circle / -962K / 0 / 0%
Top 10 Holders at 9/30/98:
Intuit / 10,600K / 20.79% (in process of reducing holdings to < 20%) Kight, Peter (management) / 6,141K / 12.04% T Rowe Price / 2,753K / 5.40% Gardner Lewis Asset Mgt / 2,316K / 4.54% Gintel Asset Mgt / 2,197K / 4.31% Johnson, Mark (management) / 1,407K / 2.75% Keycorp - Society Asset Mgt. / 1,260K / 2.47% Feirstein Cap Mgt / 1,100K / 2.16% Zesiger Cap Group / 891K / 1.75% Strong Capital Mgt / 813K / 1.59% (note -- employee stock options and Integrion warrants are not included in figures)
Summary: 10 holders control 29.5 million shares, or 57% of total outstanding shares...
BTW -- the next 10 holders account for an additional 5.2 million shares, or 10% (includes Barclays Bank, Bankers Trust, Dean Witter, Fidelity).
