Look how many 'impeach' replies are on the thread so far.... how can those polls showing that well over 60% favor censure be correct?
To me the reasoning for impeachment is a simple as 1 + 2 = 3.
However there is a large portion of the population with the following
view: 'Yes, he lied under oath, but I don't think he should be impeached'.
The view is rebuffed with the following:
1. By committing perjury he showed us that he has no respect for
the law.
2. We can not have a President who does not have respect for the law.
Anyone who believes that he lied under oath yet favors censure should
read the above and ask themselves whether they can make a similar
statement to the contrary.
Lastyly, shame on the southern republican judge that spoke before the
house & senate last week in favor of censure - he shows that he has
no respect for the law - and he's a judge, not a slick lawyer who
thinks they're being clever by giving ambiguous responses under
questioning.
