I haven't tried MSN, so am looking for facts: I have read that MSN has not billed many or all subscribers for several months due to "software problems" (now how is that for a snafu).

If this is correct, the ultimate discounted price ($0.00) has gotten them 1.5 mill subscribers. (MSFT isn't very open about the true number, are they?)

Meanwhile, AOL added 1.2 million, net of churn, in the last quarter, 500,000 in December alone.

We will see more media buzz and more hungry lawyers sniffing for class action fees while the AOL capacity situation gets resolved. But IMO we will see 10 million paying subscribers on AOL by December 31,1997.
