Sure, bp. How long did the Watergate coverup go on? How long did the Iran-contra coverup go on? The second one never ended, to my knowledge. Of course, those were totally different, they involved affairs of state. Much less important than BJs. As for cooperation with the IC, Iran-contra surely set high standards for that one, too. But Lawrence Walsh couldn't possibly match the high ethical standards of Starr, could he? I find it the great respect and deference being shown toward the civil litigation arena on this one highly amusing. I also find it highly amusing to hear the public professions of the House leadership that members should "vote their conscience", which I'm sure is exactly what ex-exterminator DeLay is telling them in private, also. The "big tent" Republicans would never think of reprisals against those who go against the leadership, would they?
