tenchusatsu, Yes when you own it the term market segment applies. With AMD looking for small consumer niches to sell into it fits for AMD. the term market fragmentation also comes to mind, followed by the dread commoditization, which has now occurred. Like cars are road compatible we have x86 cpus and the speeds are now effectively compressed by the wall of diminishing returns brought on by mechanical and electrical limits to the point where 450Mhz machines are only a few % faster than 300-333 machines, all others things being equal. I think AMD can chase smaller niches than Intel can justify and that saves AMD from dying. Bill
