Sounds like to me the $1000 could be better spent than to fix the brakes on the old dilipidated fire truck...dont you think? If the fire truck is just one or two available to service emergencies in the area, why not spend the $1000 on a down payment for a new truck instead? Why would the Fire Dept. even let that truck's condition detiorate so? Jane
