Hmmmm, Joan. You didn't write "alleged crimes" you wrote alleged "crimes". I merely pointed out that by using italics only on crimes as you did, it is a not too subtle attempt to minimize the nature of what is being called a "crime". Perjury, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering are felonies (crimes). So if you want to maintain the redundancy of spelling out "alleged crimes" with quotation marks, at least be consistent(both words). All crimes accused until proven are alleged, you don't need quotation marks to somehow further emphasize that fact, but somehow, I don't think that was your intent. <edit>, BTW, this is the second time I've called you on your usage of this literary device. bp
