<<<Would you be so kind to update me re. whether anything significant has taken place in the last week, other than the decline in price.>>>
Cliff --
Without any company-specific news, there's been alot said about the stock movement by those who follow technical analysis. According to John Morrison and a few others, we need another day or two with good volume and some price increase to indicate this really is a reversal to the upside.
I've heard there's a good chance we'll get an Amati announcement by the end of the quarter. No promises, mind you.
A few other companies have announced product developments---AWRE and some telco in the NW, I believe, and Performance Telecomm with a product to switch both CAP and DMT---but none to write home about.
There was pressure on all ADSL stocks though I'm not sure if there was one noticeable reason or just impatience on the part of several large holders. Westell took a dive on Wednesday, rebounded Thursday, and went down again on Friday---I don't know why.
Today's EETimes articles, one by Dr. Cioffi and both about ADSL, are about as much real substance as we've had all week. As Steve Macica pointed out, the article does reveal that our Overture 8 is now running at 2Mbps upstream which blows SDSL and HDSL out of the water.
And speaking of things being blown out of the water, I was pleased to listen to the ASND conference call and learn that 56K is basically a "no show."
Coming up later this week is an FCC Broadband Forum in Wn., D.C.. All the different technologies will be demonstrated and discussed. AOL, Intel, and a long list of telcos will be there. Sounds like the showdown at the OK Corral.
That's it off the top of my head. Sort of gives a new twist to "Cliff Notes," wouldn't you say.
Cheers!
