Slow performance dogs biggest online brokers Online brokerage sites operated by E-Trade Group and Charles Schwab ranked last among 20 in an analysis of e-brokers' availability and online performance. E-Trade had an average success rate downloading all the content of 92.8 percent, and Schwab scored 97 percent, according to a report by Keynote Systems. E-Trade delivered its home page, on average, in 13 seconds, while Schwab took 27 seconds during the period measured, last week. Top-performing brokers on the Net were Web Street and Waterhouse, which delivered their pages in about three seconds, and were accessible more than 99.5 percent of the times tested.
