I'm going to work on it a little at lunch tomorrow. I'm trying to figure out what sort of a hit the transition from many boardmakers to one will do as well as what the switch from nVidia to 3Dfx only will do.

An easy model is 3Dfx does the same sales of chips, but picks up some board margin (and sales) as well. However, I'm not sure that V3 will provide that level of bump up.

nVidia has a bunch of committed inventory purchases. If STB can cancel the orders, nVidia may be stuck with a big chunk of inventory. That wouldbe for retail sales, 3Dfx needs to continue a high level of service to OEMs no matter what chipset.
