Getting back to topic, here's Felton.

usdoj.gov

I guess Felton ran a little video, and he shows that, with a 600 line program it is possible to separate IE out from Windows 98.

Personally, I really don't think this adds much, except to elaborate in specific terms, as applied to Windows/IE, the general principles already explained by Farber.

And I do not understand why we are spending all this time on how easy or difficult it is to separate IE from Windows. I think we can all agree that it *is* technically possible to separate IE from Windows, even if DOJ ends up having to reverse engineer it and dig down into the DLLs to separate line by line the code that is "IE" from the code that is "Windows."

The questions that neither Farber nor Felton answers are, is it worth it, and who decides?

The Microsoft dude took only a day to cross-x him, which I guess is some kind of record. ;)
