Al: I don't know what the hell is going on in the never-never land of FNet. It'll be about 3 years for FNet PPs and still no word of IPO, or somebody willing to put up some money to get this thing off the ground. You would have thought a VC might jump at the chance, but we might be to far into IP_Telephony as a sector to make any big dent. Companies internationally are being snatched up by the thousands daily, and thats where the money is. Do we have some of that? I doubt it, where's the news? Its scarry to think what will happen once they burn the money from VC.

A very bad sign in my book, so maybe we rolled the dice and lost. I guess it was kinda a crap-shoot anyway, not very positive about the outcome, and rightfully so, don't you think?

When Franklin had their chance to partner with an Earthlink type, and product development in other area's of IP, they blew-it. I would be willing to bet there where TENs of opportunities to channel, partner, distribute, merge with other telephony companies, both in the hardware and software. But hell no, Frank wanted to build everything inhouse. That was a sad mistake we may never recover from. I wouldn't want to bet the farm on it, no I wouldn't even bet buying another 100 shares with no news that is substancial. No doubt they blew, have blown allot of opportunities in the past 3 years. IMO, it all boiled down to early 97, and the fact that Frank didn't want to give up his "control" of the company, or give up an degree of ownership was the possible downfall of this company. I mean really, look where we were back then. One of the first tof get recognition at a show, and no doubt hundreds of calls from other hardware/software vendors wanting to collaborate with them. We have suffered because of that. I had no idea he was that kind of control freak, but in retrospect, I should have by good-source information. He out-right lied to me in more than one occasion, that was enough for me to smell something afoul.

All and all, it was and still is a great learning experience when dealing with upper management in regards to a public company.

Maybe there is still something to come, don't know, butreally don't expect anything. If we get our dollar back on those shares, I guess we should take that as a blessing. I would bet though that we will have to wait a year after the IPO form VC agreement so they can get their money first.

I want to appologize if I ever mislead anyone here, I don't think I did, at least I hope not.

Best regards,

Stephen

btw.....I'm leading off into awhole new area now !!! communicationsupdate.com see ya around !!

If someone reads this besides you, don't post this on FTel. That f__k'n thread at worth a dime, but maybe 5cents more than the company. <gg>
