Tell me more about what you are doing.

a few general points. if you already want to get your CableTV signal digitally, then DirectDuo with both TV and InterNet access, is a good deal, however, depending how far you are from the equator, you may not have enough signal strength in your area for good performance. ask the DirecPC solution provider in your area what signal strength he gets. If it's less than 105 then you should not get this solution. also, if you often have thick fog, don't get this; even heavy rain and snow work out fine, but low fog really kills your signal. Most ISP's now offer services where they Bind 2 modems into 1 TCP/IP connection. There are even dual and even triple modems available from most major modem makers specifically for this application. Where I live, we have flat ISP access up to 200 hours per month, and unlimited phone calls for $17 flat monthly per POT's line. (I'm not on all day, and only need high speed connection for downloading large game demo's a few evenings a week, so the DirecPC dish works out best for my purposes.) So here NYC/USA a dual modem solution is far and away the cheapest way to get the most bandwidth. Keep in mind, DirecPC is as expensive as ISDN if you use it during regular business hours when the market is open. If you decide to stay with a Modem based solution, you may want to look at what DBCC has to offer. Their new software version and internet based data broadcasting is very good, and very affordable. Their data feed is compatible with practically all market analysis programs. for a guy who follows blue chips, i'm surprised you wanna daytrade. I hope you're only playing with money you can afford to lose; good luck!
