Geez... it was only last week that I was concerned that this thread way dying! So my wife and I book a 4-day to Las Vegas (no relation to V.S.E., although there may be a few common "Members of the Board"), I get back and check the SI site, and there are 29 (Twenty-Nine) posts over the 4-day period (and I, being forever the optomist, figure that we must have struck oil and the stock has zoomed, and I'll be able to afford new dentures, and we'll be able to afford the Jenny Craig diet meals, and, yes, Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus). Well, after reading the posts and checking the latest stock price (6 cents...repeat...CENTS), I figure I'd better get that old 2x4 and chip out new dentures myself. I guess I'll never go away to Las Vegas again... or, change that.... maybe next time I won't come back!!
Just like the termite that wandered into the old saloon in the wild west and asked "Is the bartender here?", (bar tender...get it... you know... termites eat wood, eh?), not too many of the posts are very tender to the ears... or the pocketbook. Thank the Lord for Canada Savings Bonds and Las Vegas!
I get the drift of your comments, Leigh, but also of the others.. and some appear to be leaving the good ship Titanic... oops, Westrend after having been backers for quite awhile. I too dislike the "C" word and have not been on the positive end of any stock that has fared well after "C-ing". Besides, the leverage after the fact sure will suck... especially at 1:15, so I hope that cooler heads will prevail (that's COOLER not BRAIN-DEAD) and if consolidation is required, 1:5 would be more beneficial for us poor mushrooms.
I don't know about you, but I often get notices of AGMs a few weeks after the fact, so if the WRN meeting is end of December, and Christmas mail being what it is, I expect that my package will arrive somewhere in mid to late January... maybe WRN could set something up the reverse of ADVANCE VOTING and allow LATE VOTING (since they plan on reversing a few other things).
Wow... does this guy ramble, eh? Better go now and re-count my $US that came back from Las Vegas with us... and it was MORE than LESS... mainly due to the fact that we didn't see Siegfreid and Roy and their little white pussies (or tigers, or whatever they are).
