nVidia's future:

In my opinion nVidia is in big trouble. They don't have the resources to buy either of the remaining credible TNT board makers, and being bought out will take them out of the driver's seat and replace them with either DIMD (which would be great for TDFX, of course) or CREAF (which might go either way.) Did CREAF loan some cash to nVidia like DIMD and STBI did? If not how does that change the odds CREAF will buy them?

nVidia will soon be in debt to their arch-rival (who is suing them and possible being countersued if my original sleuth-work wasn't inaccurate) and if they actually manage their much delayed IPO their rival will own a sizable chunk of them. Weren't nVidia's OEM deals through STBI? They're kissing those goodbye. Their funds are surely running low - two lawsuits to carry on, and TNT can't be selling for nearly the margin it was intended to (considering the huge drop in retail price which they'd simply have to share with the boardmakers who loaned them so much money.)

No, it doesn't look good for nVidia.

Did we ever sort out the lawsuit? Someone was going to have a friend scan the appropriate papers. I don't think 3Dfx would have brought this suit lightly.
