WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Dec 14 (Reuters) - Coyote Network Systems said Monday it has asked the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission to review recent trades of its common stock for possible market manipulation or other potential illegal activity.

On Dec. 9, Internet service, TheStreet.Com, published stories about Coyote Network that company officials believe are incomplete and misleading.
