Doug : The reason for posting the link to the news item on Getchell was their 2 mines and 50 sqm of property in Neveda. The stock swap deal between Getchell & Placer Dome would give holders of Getchell 2.45 shares of Placer for each share of Getchell they owned. Deal originally valued Getchell at $34/share which has now been lowered as PDG has dropped in value since the annoucement. Believe you know the answers to the other questions you posed in your post. RFB
