News item re: Beefed up notebook from Dell, featuring optional LS-120.

nt.excite.com

The LS-120 is an optional device to put into the modular bay.

I know that two Inspirion notebooks from Dell do support Zip drives in the modular bays, but I don't know if this one will as well. I don't like seeing Dell offering LS-120s. This is not good news.

One can't expect to eliminate all competition, but Dell has been a pretty big supporter of Zip. What we'll want to watch is how well the modular LS-120 sells as an option, in comparison to Zip. I just don't know how we can reliably track that.
