Bargain biotech?

Stock of biotech Synbiotics, which makes health products for animals,
suffered from year-end tax-loss selling, says Jim McCamant of
Berkeley-based AgBiotech Stock Letter. "They have made no significant
announcements since their third-quarter earnings report back in November, but they have indicated that they are continuing to concentrate on increasing revenues from both biological and diagnostic product sales," says McCamant. Synbiotics "stands to benefit from the continued increase of the pet population, as well as the companion animal market," he says. He likes the stock under $5. It has been trading a little above $3.
