Hi Mike,

Bad analogy, my "contact" does not use TXCC's products because of a few reasons...

1. TXCC has not been able to crack the account (it does happen!)
2. My contact's hardware design is tightly coupled with their system software and porting to TXCC's new ATM SAR (with a custom CPU and non-standard instruction set at it's heart) would be a failure from an ROI perspective.
3. The corporate culture at my contact's company has been to design these functions in-house. While there is a push to use standard parts in these areas, this has not yet happened.
4. There are many companies peddling ATM chips and I never said TXCC's are the best. When my contact's company changes course and uses standard parts instead of spinning their own, they may chose someone else's product. Within the relatively narrow application band of ATM chips, there is a broad range of chips, and TXCC's only cover some of the applications.

Not trying to lead anyone astray nor am I making any of this stuff up...

Neal
