Sorry, had no idea. Haven't been to Milan since the 70's anyway, but I will always remeber the operas in Italy. My mother is in an opera society and goes all over the world on opera tours. She has been to Bayreuth for the festival, which I envy. It seems rather cruel to have Scala in the midst of people who aren't able to enjoy it. Rather like having the best bakery in the world but not allowing the people who live around it to eat any. Alexa
