Anyone who thinks that impeaching a President is a guarantee toward victory in an election is either a wishful thinker or a total imbecile. Impeachment leads to complete polarization toward the opposing party and does little to guarantee victory. The Democrats learned this lesson with Jimmy Carter. They barely beat Ford and lost by a landslide to Ronald Reagan. If your misguided ideology were true then perhaps you can explain to me why George Bush was elected amidst Iran-Contra?
