Yeah, I'm pretty frustrated too, considering the new outstanding product line coming out for 1999. This will be the strongest line in their history according to Pat Feely!
Per the conference call:
1. Buckmaster Deer Hunting Game: a unique double lcd screen gun with scope, one scrolling tracking screen (a totally new handheld game technology) and the other the scope site for shooting. You have to use scent tracking, brush movements, droppings, and deer calls to find the deer and avoid the bears which will attempt to kill you while you're attracting the deer. This game sounds awesome and will likely be a mega hit!
2. The new ULTIMATE BASS FISHING GAME (Radica's answer to the real looking Playmates rod and reel): This game will incorporate an actual rod and reel with line that you place your index finger over like in real fishing and feel the tug and pull of the fish as the rod bends. New screen and graphics will also show an underwater view of the fish as you battle it and attempt to bring it in.
3. New Girl Tech brand new market niche line coming after first of the year with major advertising to follow in April: Four games including Voice Recognition lockable diary, Voice Recognition door entry lock, Friend Frame picture frame that is programmable for descriptive phrases about your friend, and Beam-It Projector which beams messages on the wall or ceiling for girls slumber parties.
4. Five new Star Wars ODM games that are supposed to be unique and exciting but that they were not ready to hint at yet--- to be released around the time of the new Prequel movie (Memorial Day Weekend).
5. A brand new NASCAR GAME called "SPEED ZONE" which will incorporate all the true nascar features of fuel management, gear shifting, a spring loaded steering wheel with new effects, etc. This will take this game to a new level of play!
6. New price leader games such as Bass Fishing for $9.95, Pocket Checkers for $9.95, Solitaire, and Tic Tac Toe all for $9.95!
In addition, the Non-Us sales comprised only 8% of total sales last year or about $9 million, but for 1999, they have landed new accounts with the largest Toy Company Distributors in France, Australia, Finland, Switzerland and I didn't hear the last one. They are expecting to move non-US sales during the next year up to over 12% and then even as high as 20% in the following year. This doesn't mean that they will be selling less in the U.S., just a ton more overseas!
I guess I just don't understand why this stock isn't just flying at this point! Maybe people just don't believe all this is going to happen or they just don't realize what will happen if just one of these new games is a blockbuster hit in addition to the rest of the sales staying roughly the same or just increasing a little...Remember , Stealth is a complete sell out and hasn't even begun to reach it's peak and the same thing for the NASCAR games! 1999 is going to be a huge year for these guys, mark my words!
