You are welcome to your beliefs on the matter, of course. There's been a lot of testimony supporting the opposite conclusion, and Dr. Felten just testified that the gluing of IE 4.0 into Windows 98, as opposed to just providing it as a removable application, added no material benefit to the consumer, and simply prevented the consumer from using Netscape Navigator.

In no way, shape or form does it prevent people from using Navigator. This a common misconception, and a completely false one.

As a benefit, it provides users with an integrated HTML browsing engine and better integration of the Web into the filesystem and network.

Do you find this any different than the inclusion of the Windows Explorer (i.e. File Manager) in the OS?
