Thanks. For those Canadians looking for a safer ride they might want to check out the covertible debentures. Price right now is about $117.
and pays 7.5%. Present yield is about 4.5% to maturity Jun 1/04. Conversion is 9.52 shs /$100. which equals to $10.50 /sh. If stock was to go to $15.00 conversion value of bond is $142.80. plus you are getting interest. Looks like a good safe play without a lot of downside risk.
