Misonix makes announcement
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (Jan. 20) BUSINESS WIRE -Jan. 20, 1997--Misonix Inc.
(NASDAQ: MSON) today announced that it received its largest order to
date for its Ultrasonic Soft Tissue Aspirator from Medical Device
Alliance Inc. ("MDA") under its licensing agreement with the company.
This order, in the amount of approximately $3,300,000, is a blanket
order with release dates during April, May and June of 1997. The first
order with release dates in October, November and December 1996 was for
approximately $937,000 in equipment and has been shipped in full. The
second order, in the amount of approximately $1,600,000, was a blanket
order with release dates during January, February, and March of 1997.
Dr. Joseph Librizzi, president of the company, stated that he is
"pleased with the successful development and manufacturing efforts of
Misonix in response to the accelerating demand for the Lysonix 2000
Ultrasonic Soft Tissue Aspirator. The current order significantly
exceeds our expectations at this early stage of MDA's marketing
program."
