This is in response to whoever was talking about purchasing Sysquest's assets. If IOM does that, it shouldn't have too negative of an impact on their Income Statement or EPS. The reason why is that purchased assets are capitalized and amortized over some period. So maybe a little depreciation would hit this quarter's books, but given that the quarter is almost over, that is not likely. Depreciation usually begins in the period they are put into use. IOM mgmt could make a good case that the assets won't be put into use until next quarter.

Therefore, IOM's possible purchase of Sysquest's assets will most probably have no affect on their EPS for this quarter.
