Comments on the use of Livelink for the wharehousing, control and editing of engineering drawings would be appreciated.

I passed your question on to someone who has looked specifcally at these issues. Here is his response:

Warehousing is such a generic term, I am not sure what is implied. As a document repository, sure it is an obvious choice. If you could pass implied requirements associated with warehousing I can give you a more specific answer.

Drawings are an interesting animal. There tend to be multiple linked
files/analysis tools with a production CAD system. Thus, moving them into Livelink may not enhance the CAD creation process. Clearly, at release time you want to get them into Livelink from a control and distribution perspective. If the creation process is just working with single CAD files, Livelink might be a nice approach. Again, depends on the application of CAD.

I am not sure what you mean by security. Are you talking about securing access to Livelink, encryption of documents passed over the internet, security of servers used for document storage, etc.?
