In my posting I only listed the bottom end systems for sale. Costco also had two higher end systems - one from IBM and one from Compaq, both using INTC CPUs, and costing up to $2000.

I've seen cars for sale there as well as 30' motor cruisers - they actually have these on display! I happened to buy a Xerox laser printer/copier on this trip.

Yes, Costco does sell household necessities very cheaply, but they also sell other more expensive goods as well. As I understand it they will sell any product that they can purchase at a significant discount so that they can offer a better price than other stores on that particular item.
