Gaugie,

They do compress the soil more than regular tires on the tread bites but over all they compress 1/2 as much. Have a place close by that has even put it's wagons on tracks to stop compaction.

Now to fix you call the factory and let them do it. Oh, when they turn on a MacAdam [tar and chip] road they tear it up.

The Cats run $140,000 to $175,000 for a track tractor. God knows what you'll pay for the green paint.

I always liked the 706 or 4020 as looking like a real farm piece. Popping Johnney was good too.
