" "IN ADSL, INNOVATIONS ABOUND Every week in the asymmetrical digital subscriber line world, new players, old pros and burgeoning alliances spawn innovations in the much talked about but not yet commercial market. Last week, one relative newcomer to ADSL formed an alliance and rolled out multiple user modems. Another long-time player unveiled central office racks to support both carrierless amplitude/phase modulation (CAP) and discrete multitone (DMT) technology.
