Paunch, a question about insider information.
If a company person gives to another person such information as to a condition of the company that is used for profit in the stock market, then this illegal. Yes ?
You said in your post,
<<< I will be speaking with Dale in the next couple of days and I will try to find out something about the drill program then. Paunch >>>
I would feel much, actually very much, better and safer if you and Chuca would not mention, not only anything you spoke to Dale about in regards to Maxam's current mining activities, but also information that might reside outside "need to know" merger activity with Maxam, if it can be translated into insider information given out by Dale.
This only because I'am sure the Shorts are listening, and any possible way they could cause trouble, they will surly take it.
As a test, assume Tim is listening, and decide if what you post or e-mail ( Tim gets a copy), could be used by Tim's network to kill this merger, and finally sink Maxam into Chapter 11/7.
If you read the following, do not believe this, unless you or someone else can product a document from the regulatory body, stating such as the law.
From: Richard Mazzarella Tuesday, Dec 15 1998 6:52PM ET The company informed on the internet which is now considered a proper method of company public information decimation.
Doug, not and no joking here. |
