Steve, I think you were right about my cable modem problems being stack problems. I finally got a tech guy who knew what he was doing and he had me dmodify winsock.dll somehow, and I don't seem to have a lot of the problems anymore. The cable guys still see lots of noise on my line, but I guess they are working on that. Overall it's much better since the software fix, though. Thanks. Kevin
