I was studying my charts trying to figure this bounce out today when a silly thing came to mind but one I think is very plausable. We (or at least I) know that the MMs don't like to have large down days on Fridays because it alarms the sheeple over the weekend. Now knowing we are going to have an impeachment vote at the end of this week, which way is the obvious market direction going to be leaning? Now if you thought that the market was probably going to go down at the end of the week, which just happens to be option expiration and you don't want the sheeple to see that the DOW was down hundreds of points for the week ... Wouldn't you want to hold the index up during the early part of the week?

My read for this week up Wednesday then the big guys will be short for Thursday afternoon Friday.

As far as long term reads, I think it is too hard to say with this week having the impeachment stuff plus option expiry, next week a short week for X-mas and the week after for New years. The first 2 weeks of the new year will be key but I think it will be upwards. The between now and then is going to be one wild ride though. <g>
