Pokemon toys are sought-after and sold out in suburban NYC. Good thing I picked up my stash at FAO Schwarz (as previously posted) when I did. My kids' school's principal sends home a one-page newsletter every Friday, and last Friday's devoted two paragraphs to the Pokemon "craze" (his word). He asked parents to ask their children to please refrain from squealing "Pee-ka-choo!!", like Pikachu does, during structured class time. In fact, my son's overwhelmed first-grade teacher went so far as to (obviously misguidedly) attempt to prohibit the utterance of any Pokemon-related word in class.
